About Me
My name is Jasmine Lomax. I currently work as the weekend meteorologist at Fox45 in Baltimore. As a Maryland native, I'm thrilled to be back home forecasting the diverse and ever-changing weather of the Mid-Atlantic.
Before returning to Maryland, I worked as a meteorologist in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. It was there where I covered many tropical cyclones, tornadoes and even ice! Here at home, I've covered the same types of weather with the addition of snow, something I really missed in Louisiana. With each event, I provide viewers with important information on the impacts they could face.
Science has always been my passion, but I've always loved writing as well. I double majored in meteorology and broadcast journalism at Penn State to combine my love of science with my love of writing. I also minored in Spanish. I think that my background in weather and journalism help me effectively communicate science to the public.
When I'm not glued to weather models or working, I enjoy traveling, dancing, pilates, fashion and exploring new restaurants. I enjoy playing with my teacup Yorkie, Caramel, and I love spending time with my family and friends. I'm a big sports fan as well. I always root for my home team, the Baltimore Ravens, and Penn State! We Are!
